Englewood: Day one.

Every year we go to Englewood (actually Manasota Key, tomato tamato) for Memorial Day weekend. Dj's Family rents this sweet little house right on the beach, as in we have our own path, on the beach. Yeah, it's pretty awesome. We spend the whole long weekend on the beach, spending time with each other, eating, eating, oh and playing dominos (my favorite game ever; in which I kick everyones butt's in.) It's a good time. Every morning while we are here Dj's Grandma walks the beach at about 6:30 am. I usually sleep in, but decided to go along so I could capture some of the early morning beauty my sleeping eyes usually miss out on. Boy, am I glad I did. The moon hung around a little longer, and I was clearly happy. I mean seriously, how beautifully awesome is that view!
I mean, I really enjoy the sunrise of the east coast, but the sun setting over here on the west is just so much better. The natural color palettes the sky curates every night and morning are seriously amazing. I think that is my favorite part of capturing nature the colors, patterns, and textures are just so organic and vibrant; unpredictable. Add in the factor of light playing on all of those elements- magic.
Hope your long weekend is going great! Looking forward to sharing more pictures later.

P.S. A huge thank you to all of those who have fought for us, who have paid the ultimate price doing so, and those that continue to put themselves on the line. Love to all of them and there sweet families.
